Joint Annual Meeting SPS/OPG

Plenary meetings

CHIPP Plenary meeting is normally held once per year. It includes presentations from the Chairman and th ereports from the CHIPP representatives in several Boards & Organisations and a science part covering the latest developments of particle physics in Switzerland.
Joint Annual Meeting SPS/OPG

Board meetings

The CHIPP Board meeting is composed by the professors with activities in experimental or theoretical particle, astroparticle and nuclear physics and the heads of the experimental and theoretical particle physics groups at Paul Scherrer Institute. Universities without activities in particle, astroparticle or nuclear physics may nominate one representative. Members that have retired from the active professional life or have acquired the status of Professor emeritus may be admitted as Honorary Board Members.
Académie Suisse des Sciences Naturelles

EB meetings

The CHIPP Executive Board is now formed by four Professors. Administrative, discussion & information items are discussed. Normal frequency of meetings: 7-8 meetings per year, depending on the workload.

Chipp Computer Board

Computing Board

The primary task of the CHIPP Computing Board is the coordination of the various LHC computing activities to enable and support LHC physics analysis within Switzerland. It's highest priority is setting up a common Swiss Tier-2 infrastructure available to all Swiss institutes and coordinate its operation.
IPPOG collaboration

IPPOG is a network of scientists, science educators and communication specialists working across the globe in informal science education and outreach for particle physics.
CERN map

The mission of the European Particle Physics Communication Network (EPPCN) is to
strengthen the communication of particle physics in the Member States of CERN, the
European Organization for Nuclear Research, through communication officers in the Member
States and at CERN working together. The EPPCN reports to the CERN Council.
APPEC logo

APPEC: We look forward to and expect new exciting results in the world of astroparticle physics. Following on from the successful direct detection of gravitational waves we see a future of discoveries from the current generation of dark matter and double-beta decay experiments, continuing gravitational wave research, new advances from the high-energy neutrino and ultra-high energy cosmic ray observatories, results from the large ground and space-borne dark energy surveys, and from the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) to Planck, findings with implications for cosmology.

CHIPP Roadmap

In 2011, the existing Roadmap from 2004 (see below) has been completed by an implementation document. This update of the existing Roadmap takes into account the evolution in particle physics over the last five years, formulates clear recommendations for each section and contains choices regarding projects and activities supported.
