The KLSC project aims to better understand and explain the interplay between actions, knowledge and learning so that steps can be taken to enable adaptation to changing conditions and help societies move in more sustainable directions. This goal can only be reached by involving a broadly based community in the project with people from the sciences, humanities, and social practice, including participation in knowledge production by those living in key affected areas.

Aim of the Workshop

The workshop shall identify the interest of the Swiss Science Community in this forthcoming IHDP core project. In addition it gives inputs to the draft science plan.
Based on the interest the academies will seek funding of a regional project office for KLSC.

KLSC is a new core project of the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP [3]).
